North Kitsap Senior Pictures | Amya’s Grad Session at Point No Point
Amya drove all the way from Tacoma for her senior pictures at Point No Point and that says everything about what kind of session this was going to be. When someone travels that far with that much intention, the energy they bring with them is something special, and Amya absolutely delivered. The afternoon was sunny and warm with clear skies and that soft, creamy golden light that makes everything feel a little dreamy, which was the perfect match for her cheerful, bright personality.
Point No Point on a clear April afternoon is a completely different location from what you see on an overcast or stormy evening. The trees were fully green, the light was warm and consistent, and the beach had this soft, open feel to it. We stayed on the beach and worked with the driftwood, which gave us some variety between the wide open sandy shots and the more close-in textured ones.
Amya wore a longer white dress that was a perfect choice for this setting. It felt seamless against the bright sand and the creamy afternoon light, and let her be the focal point of every frame without competing with the backdrop. Then she layered her cap and gown over it for a set of graduation shots, and the bold blue with the gold sash against all that natural brightness was such a great contrast. It gave the gallery two completely distinct looks without ever needing a full outfit change.
Amya had so much fun during this session and loved her photos so much that she came back for a full senior portrait session at Howe Farm shortly after. You can see her Howe Farm senior session here!
