Silverdale Senior Pictures | Rylee’s Grad Session at Clear Creek Trails

Rylee's senior pictures at Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale were celebratory in the most literal sense. She graduated this spring not only from North Kitsap High School but also with her Associate’s Degree from Olympic College through the Running Start program, and she brought both caps and gowns to her session. Two schools, two completely different looks, and one evening at Clear Creek to capture all of it. If you want to see where her senior portrait journey started, check out Rylee's fall session in Port Gamble from earlier in the year.

The evening was mostly sunny and warm, and the light coming through the trees gave everything a yellow-green tint that felt bright and alive. Clear Creek in late May has a muted warmth to it that is different from the cooler early spring greens, and the combination of the sun filtering through the canopy and the open grassy field made the whole session feel light and full of energy. We worked through the fenced path, the wooden and metal bridges, and the grass field, which gave the gallery a lot of variety in a short distance.

Rylee's base outfit was an off-white short sleeve top with brown cargo pants, which was a great neutral anchor that let the two caps and gowns stand out without competing. The North Kitsap High School cap and gown came first — purple with a yellow sash — which popped boldly against the softer yellow-greens of the trees behind her. Then the Olympic College cap and gown in red with a white sash gave the gallery a completely different energy, equally bold but a different kind of celebratory entirely.

We also did a few combination shots with elements from both schools together, which was one of those moments that felt really specific to Rylee and this particular milestone. Not every senior gets to mark two graduations at once and those photos captured something you just can't replicate. The dual cap and gown detail is the kind of thing that makes a gallery feel like it actually belongs to one specific person and one specific chapter of their life.
