Port Orchard Senior Pictures | Mack’s Session at Howe Farm

Mack's senior pictures at Howe Farm in Port Orchard were bold and pretty right from the start, and a lot of that came down to one detail — her dark pink hair. Against the deep, saturated greens of Howe Farm in early May it was a natural contrast that made every single frame feel vibrant and intentional without any extra effort. Some sessions have a built-in visual anchor and this was absolutely one of them.

By early May, Howe Farm is fully into spring and the greens are rich and lush rather than the muted, coming-in tones of earlier in the season. We started in the main grassy field and then moved to a smaller, more tucked away field toward the back of the property that has a different feel entirely — quieter, more enclosed, with the greens wrapping around you rather than opening up to a wide sky. It is one of those spots that rewards slowing down and exploring past the obvious backdrops. We finished at the white barn, which gave us that clean, structured contrast to close out the session.

Mack also requested a shot with her tattoo as the focus, and it turned out beautifully. It is exactly the kind of personal detail that makes a senior gallery feel like it actually belongs to one specific person, and those are always some of the most meaningful images from a session.

She came with three looks that worked really well together. A long flowy white dress for the first outfit, a white top with black low rise bootcut jeans for the second, and then her dark green cap and gown layered over the white dress for graduation shots. The white in both base outfits helped her pop cleanly against the backdrop while the black jeans brought her personality into it and kept things from feeling too soft. The dark green Peninsula High School cap and gown against all that surrounding green was a subtle, cohesive moment that tied the whole gallery together really nicely.
