Silverdale Senior Pictures | Carlo’s Session at Clear Creek Trails

Carlo's senior pictures at Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale had a fun, lighthearted energy that matched the location perfectly on a warm overcast May evening. Overcast light at Clear Creek is its own kind of good — soft, even, and warm in a way that lets the vibrant greens of the trees do the heavy lifting without competing with harsh shadows or blown out sky. Everything just felt easy and relaxed, which suited Carlo completely.

We covered a lot of ground during Carlo's session. The big open field gave us those wide, green-framed shots with room to move around. The bridges added something more structured and tucked in, with the overcast light filtering through the trees overhead. The fenced path rounded things out with a natural leading line that works really well for a more casual feel. Three distinct looks within a short distance of each other, which is one of the things that makes Clear Creek such a reliable location session after session.

Carlo is a senior at Central Kitsap High School, and he brought his backpacking pack along for a set of photos since it is a big part of his life outside of school. Those are always the shots that stand out in a gallery because they say something real about who the person is beyond just a nice backdrop and a good outfit.

He came with three looks and wore black socks and sandals with all of them, which told you everything you needed to know about his personality right away. A black shirt with white striped shorts, an off-white graphic tee with black shorts, and his black cap and gown with gold sash for graduation shots. Each outfit had black in it somewhere, which added some depth and consistency across the gallery without everything feeling the same. The cap and gown gave the boldest contrast against the warm greens, and the two casual looks felt natural and easy in the best way.
