The 3 Staple Outfits to Bring to Your Senior Session

You’ve booked your senior session and now you need to pick out your outfits! Below are the three types of outfits to consider to make the most out of your senior portraits. If we haven’t met yet, hello! My name is Sonia and I am senior photographer based out of Kitsap County, WA and Santa Cruz County, CA. I hope this helps you plan outfits for a senior gallery you look back on and love!

Our first outfit is a dress. You can never go wrong with a dress. First of all, there are SO many different types of dresses out there and so many directions you can go aesthetically. Dresses can be long-sleeve, short-sleeve, tank top, off-the-shoulder, one sleeve, strapless, long, short, tight, flowy, white, black, solid color, patterned, textured, you name it. You can also go with the dress theme but instead to a top and a skirt and get the same effect.

Our second outfit is jeans and a cute top. Having a pant and top combo is essential for those sitting down poses you will be doing. You can keep this outfit timeless with the blue jeans and white top combo, or you can shake it up with different colors or textures for the top or pants. You can go with a completely different feel than the aesthetic you picked for your dress or you can have them compliment each other.

Our third outfit is a personality piece. This can be any type of outfit but an outfit that really captures the essence of YOU and/or what is going on in your life senior year. Some seniors choose their sports uniform, college gear, something sentimental, their favorite trend, or their favorite outfit that maybe doesn’t fit into the realm of the first two outfit choices we talked about. Don’t skip out on this outfit because your photos will be that much more fun to look back at when you’re older because they will have truly captured you during your senior year!
